Life in Nebraska You Gotta Live Somewhere

Omaha Snow

Today we shoveled snow in Omaha, and I see WOWT (an Omaha station) gives us a total snowfall for this Friday the 13th storm of 5 1/2 inches. Low this morning was 5 degrees in Omaha, and it got up to 28 degrees. Nothing horrible, shoveling was as as okay as it could be. Both of us got out this morning and shared the chore of cleaning up after this pretty snowfall.

Quite a change from last weekend, when we walked across the bridge to Council Bluffs. It's Nebraska, weather does things like that here.

Sometime since the snow quit coming down, a kind person went down (or up) the sidewalk with a snow blower, and cleaned the snow for quite a few of the front sidewalks in our neighborhood. Thank you, it is appreciated.

It's mid February now, and though this snowfall was pretty to look at, we are looking forward to spring.

On a side note, I did see three robins two days back, and have seen geese heading north, so winter is gradually making its all too slow transition to spring in Nebraska.
