Omaha Blizzard?

Winds up to 50 mph and another potential 11 inches of snow are in the forecast for the next 24 hours or so in the Omaha Nebraska area. In other words, be advised Omaha may have a late fall blizzard beginning later today, according to a multitude of forecasts.

This 11 a.m. photo of the Omaha snow shows the snow on the ground before the forecast really bad weather begins. It's already enough for us, and we've cleaned the deck twice so far. I did put some food out for the squirrels a while back, and I am glad to see a couple squirrels out there now, filling up while they can.

At the moment it is 21 degrees with a wind chill of 9 degrees, more than a little bit below the average for this date.

Yet the Weather Channel continues to show info on the supposed global warming and what is happening and what will happen because of the global warming. This is sandwiched in between reports on the current cold temps and snow and blizzard forecasts.

Where's that global warming when we need it?

Wonder what winter will bring when it arrives?
